TIME: 

10:45am-12:15pm, (9-14 years old, beginning/intermediate - intermediate dancers)

12:30-1:00pm, Adult Character Parts

1:00 - 3:00pm, (14+ years old - advanced dancers and professionals. Audition will include advanced pointe work)

Dancers need to arrive 30 minutes prior to their audition time to sign in and get measured by the costume staff.

Download this Audition Form onto your computer, fill in the form, save your additions, and email the completed Audition Form back to brt@brtnm.com prior to (8/29) if you are interested in auditioning OR bring it with you on or before Saturday, August 29. Form must be filled in, signed, and returned to BRT to audition.

Audition Attire:

For those identifying as women—solid color leotard, pink tights, ballet slippers, and pointe shoes (only if already on pointe)
For those identifying as men or non-binary—white t-shirt, black tights or leggings, and black ballet slippers

Attire for Adult Character Parts: any dance or workout type clothing.

Dancers must be 9 years of age as of September 1, 2026, with a minimum of 3 years of ballet training and currently enrolled in 2 ballet classes per week at any studio.

$85 Jr Company Nutcracker rehearsal/costume fee upon casting

Rehearsals will begin the week of September 14, 2026, and can be scheduled for Fridays 5:30-9pm, Saturdays 12:30-6pm. Some Sunday afternoons might be necessary. Main characters, company, and older dancers will also be regularly rehearsing on weeknights.

Three weeks prior to opening night, rehearsal times will change and will extend to include weeknights.

Starting Saturday, November 21, 2026, all studio rehearsals and theatre rehearsals are mandatory. There will not be rehearsals on November 25-29, over Thanksgiving weekend.
